Easy CUET 2024 Guide

Understanding CUET

The Common University Entrance Test is a national-level test conducted by the National Testing Agency for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the country. This test provides a single-window opportunity or a unified platform to students for admission into more than 250 participating universities, including very prestigious institutions like Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Hyderabad, Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University, and others.


CUET 2024 Overview

Exam Pattern


CUET is an MCQ-based test consisting of three sections: Language Section with 50 questions, Domain Specific Section with 50, and General Test Section with 50 questions. It becomes very time-consuming because each section is given only 45 minutes.


Important Dates and Fees


  • Application Submission: 27 February 2024 - 26 March 2024

  • Examination Dates: 15 May 2024 - 31 May 2024

  • Result Declaration: June/July 2024

Application Fees:


  • Up to 3 subjects: INR 750 (General), INR 700 (OBC-NCL/EWS), INR 650 (ST/SC/PwD/Third Gender), INR 3750 (Outside India)

  • Up to 7 subjects: INR 1500 (General), INR 1400 (OBC-NCL/EWS), INR 1300 (ST/SC/PwD/Third Gender), INR 7500 (Outside India)

  • Up to 10 subjects: INR 1750 (General), INR 1650 (OBC-NCL/EWS), INR 1550 (ST/SC/PwD/Third Gender), INR 11000 (Outside India)

CUET Preparation Strategies

March: Board Exams and Initial Preparation

  • Focus on board exams, which will help in the domain-specific sections.

  • Build a habit of taking concise and well-organized notes.

  • Make a time table to cover all the subjects at par.

  • Complete the syllabus as early as possible.

April: Completion of Syllabus and Intensive Practice

  • Complete the syllabus and start intensive revision.

  • Allot specific times for English and test preparations of General Test.

  • Solve PYQs, take mock tests regularly.

  • Analyzing the mock test results—Identify mistakes and rectify.

  • Attend marathon sessions for the most significant topics.

  • Try solving random topic questions. This will help in getting thorough preparation.

  • Increase the frequency of mock tests. Analyze detailedly.

  • Mental calculations to be done on a daily basis for increasing speed.

  • Study timings: Study at the time slot when exam slot is so that the body gets used to concentrating at those times.
